From 5th to 6th of February 2022, the NGO I3D distributed school supplies, teaching materials, girls’ dignity kits and sports equipment (balls, whistles, T-shirts / shorts, tennis, skipping ropes) to 7 selected schools in the Bossembélé sector.
Providing these tools is part of a project to access education in a safe, inclusive and protective learning environment for displaced and repatriated children as a result of the recent post-election violence in Ombella-M’poko, Ouham, Ouaka and Mbomou Prefecture.
The project is led by the international non-governmental organization NRC (Norwergian Refugee Council) implemented by the national NGO Initiative for Democracy and Sustainable Development (I3D).
The kits were distributed from  5th to 6th if February 2022 at Bogoin, Yamien, Bomassana, Yadama, Bogban, Yérimon and Boudouli schools.
On the sidelines of these distributions, moderators from the NGO I3D raised awareness of the importance of school and respect for barrier gestures against coronavirus in schools.
